WINTER SWELL

 WINTER SWELL

Blog post by local photographer, Simon Treweek

A low pressure system showed itself on the charts last week increasing froth levels within Tasmania’s southern surfing community. Saturday arrived with a fresh dump of snow on the mountain tops and a chill in the air. The beaches of South Arm provided the perfect place for old friends to catch up, stories to be shared as well as, of course, a few waves to be ridden. As the swell filled in, it provided plenty of opportunities for those with enough rubber to keep warm. Local crew Kelly Nordstrom and Benn Richardson were among the mix of locals making the most of it.
